Thank you for visiting our site, we hope you will truly enjoy our dogs.

Gaus Hof is a small breeding facility located approx.

1 1/2 hours southwest of Chicago,IL.

The kennel is in a loveley country setting on 120 acres and operated by husband and wife team, George and Rita.

All dogs live in a heated and air conditioned building. We spend most of our day in that building or outside with the dogs, so they are well socialized and not isolated. We also have a Hidden Fence that allows our dogs to run free on our property and not be kenneled while they are outside. However, we do have some kennels outside, as sometimes we need to confine a female in season. When the weather is good, our dogs spend all day in the yard, playing, digging, chasing balls, etc.

Rita is a certified vet tech in Germany where she grew up and she also continued to work for vets in this country. She is also a certified medical assistant and has worked in the natural medicine field for many years.

This knowledge is now implemented into our kennel business.

Rita also does all our grooming, and our main goal is to breed healthy, happy and social puppies that will be well rounded pets with stable temperaments, a pet that you can enjoy for a long time.

We have just recently expanded to other hypoallergenic breeds, due to more people suffering from allergies.

Now we also breed Goldendoodles and on occasion American Hairless Terriers.

We have established new contacts in Germany where some of our dogs are being shown. Because of the great success that our dogs experienced over there we now sell more and more puppies overseas. This has been a great experience for us and we made several good friends as well.

In general, our Standards can be anywhere from 40lbs and larger. We breed to provide you with a happy, healthy pet and don't breed for show; however many of our puppies have won Best of Breed and earned their Championship in the show ring.

We provide our customers with a health warranty. The warranty is posted on our puppy page.
